Pilgrimage to Goodwood
Every July, beneath the grandeur of the Goodwood House façade and the golden sweep of a Sussex summer sky, the world gathers for what has become the definitive celebration of motorsport, performance engineering, and automotive artistry: the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
At The Vault Europe, this is more than a date in the calendar. It’s a pilgrimage. A ritual. And a tribute to the extraordinary world of classic and performance motoring we proudly serve.

Supporting the Festival Since the Beginning
Since its inception in 1993 under the visionary eye of Charles Gordon-Lennox, the Duke of Richmond, the Festival has evolved from a bold experiment into a global institution. From the earliest editions, we’ve admired and supported Charles’ dedication to the preservation, performance, and enjoyment of historic sports and racing cars. What he has built at Goodwood is nothing short of a movement - a lifestyle brand in its own right, championing heritage with modern flair.
Four Days of Automotive Theatre
This year, we were on the ground for the full four-day celebration, immersed in the atmosphere from the moment the gates opened.
Thursday saw us scouting restoration opportunities at the Bonhams Auction, seeking potential additions to The Vault’s growing fleet of collector vehicles.
On Friday, the pace picked up with hill climb action and the first glimpses of this year’s standout entries - from electric prototypes to Le Mans legends.
Over the weekend, we relaxed into the rhythm of the event: from Cartier Style et Luxe, where concours perfection met coachbuilt beauty, to the Supercar Paddock and its symphony of high-octane soundtracks.
And on Sunday, we witnessed the always-thrilling Shootout, where the fastest cars across eras and disciplines went head-to-head for the fastest time up the hill.
Every corner of the estate buzzed with automotive passion—be it the manufacturer villages, heritage displays, or the trade stands, many of which gave visitors hands-on opportunities to test, explore, or simply revel in excellence.
A Celebration in the Skies, Too
As if the tarmac and track weren’t enough, the skies played their part. We were honoured with several flyovers from the RAF Red Arrows, whose precision and spectacle never fail to raise hairs and cheers, and the stately presence of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - a poignant tribute that echoes Goodwood’s own wartime legacy.
The Vault’s Ongoing Commitment
For us, Goodwood is a reflection of everything we believe in: craftsmanship, engineering excellence, and the preservation of legacy with modern usability. It inspires the work we do daily - from storage and maintenance to restoration and enhancement of the world’s most beloved machines.
We look forward to returning next year - and every year. Because some traditions are too good not to keep.
